§ 86-144. Parking prohibited; exceptions.

  • It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in a loading zone as designated by authority of the police chief, unless such vehicle is a commercial vehicle from which property or merchandise is being loaded or unloaded, and in no event shall such commercial vehicle park in said loading zone for a period of time longer than 30 minutes. For purposes of this article, the term "commercial vehicle" shall be defined as an automobile, truck, trailer, tractor, wagon or any other motor vehicle designed or used as a vehicle of conveyance in the furtherance of or as a part of any commercial activity or enterprise, whether or not such vehicle is used solely in such commercial activity or enterprise or is used only intermittently in such commercial activity or enterprise.
