§ 14-108. Permit required, fee; meter required.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to make any installation for service of any such gas until a permit is secured from the building official may appoint for such purposes.

    (b)

    The applicant for any installation shall make a written request to the building official for a permit, which request shall state the proposed location of the installation, and shall be accompanied by a sketch of the proposed location and a fee in the amount established by ordinance to cover inspection costs. In the event the permit is not granted the fee shall not be returned to the applicant.

    (c)

    Each installation shall be equipped with an accurate and appropriate measuring device, meter or gauge, depending upon the type of system, so as to enable the building official and the consumer to clearly determine the amount of pressure or quantity of material being received.
